Can anyone name these players?

I think I can name a few....
Back row, far left looks like Bill Roberts, next to him is Charlie Hind. Back row 2nd player from right looks like Jimmy Bracewell. Front row third from right might be Mark Warren.

Frank Moss is far right kneeling and Taylor Adams is to the right of Doug Middleton in the back row. Taylor just won the Gate Senior Golf Championship in Jacksonville this week.

Since it's my picture, I've spent 44 years remembering those names. :o)

Back Row (L-R): William Roberts, Coach Pattila, Doug Middleton, Taylor Adams, Danny Sanders, Jimmy Bracewell, Skippy Miller, Coach Sanders
You can take those names to the bank. :o)
I love what you are doing with the site!
Charlie
Oops...I left out my own name...between Coach Patilla and Doug Middleton.

Stewart,
I don't know what Doug was looking at, but it doesn't look like it was a sweet young thing. Looks more like he was looking at someone moving in on his sweet young thing.
What an age of innocence. Not even one person is secretly shooting a bird. How things changed by high school. Of course these were the good kids from the Island. It was those bad Brunswick boys who corrupted us later on. ;o)

Sorry Mark (Warren)! That's you rather than Sandy Middleton.

Front row, 3rd from right, definitely me.
Thanks to all for the other names. I remembered a few, but not all.

Don't forget about the Packers -- they were sponsored by SeaPak. The Sandpipers were sponsored by the Sea Island Company. Anyone remember who sponsored the Blue Sox and the Red Sox?

I think the Red Sox were sponsored by the Civitans. Hey Kenny, the Gielow name rings a bell, but I can't put a face with the names. Where did they live? Wasn't Eddie Cofer on the Blue Sox with you? Who else was on your team? Man I'd love to see some more of our Little League team pictures. I've been asking people for years, but no one has come through yet. Any takers out there?
The Red Sox picture on the GA website was the 2nd year I played for them...I was out of town the day the picture was made. I played for them 3 years, and my first year I was in there with much older boys...Billy Brewer, Jimmy Duncan, Bobby Ingram, David Boland. David's dad was our coach. Brian Gallagher's father took over after Mr. Boland died.

The Blue Sox (my team), the Sandpipers & the Red Sox were really the “good kids”. Do you guys remember Ronald & Russell Gielow? I wonder what ever happened to them. Spencer Rowe had the fastest side-arm pitch around. I absolutely hated batting against him. Ahhh, the memories of our lost youth.

You're right about the Civitans being the sponsor for the Red Sox Little League team, Charlie. The Gielow boys were Russell and Ronald. I think Russell was the younger brother who graduated in 1966. Ronald might have been in the Class of '64 or even '63. Not sure on that one. I think they were both on the Sandpipers team sponsored by Sea Pak Corp.

I’m going to really stretch my brain cells here ( because I they are croaking at a rapidly increasing rate). My apologies to Taylor for confusing him with John O’Looney and I’m embarrassed that I got Coach Patilla confused with Mr. Boland. Eddie Cofer did play on the Blue Sox. He’ll always be missed. I don’t have a clue as to who sponsored us. Billy, you’re right, Russell Gielow was the youngest, played for the Sandpipers and, like Spencer Rowe, was one awesome pitcher. I hated facing him. Can’t remember where they live on the Island. Maybe on the North End around where David Harris & Harry Aiken lived. I’m pretty sure that their dad coached the Sandpipers at one time. Lee Owens (my next door neighbor) coached the Packers and I’m ashamed to say that I cannot remember my own coach’s name. Somebody please help! Also, I’m with Charlie regarding the team photos. I’d truly love to see some. Whomever can come up with a Blue Sox photo (that I’m in, of course) can have a dinner on me in March when we come down for a week.
Kenny

Say what you want about us Brunswick guys, most of us were to busy discovering the island girls. You Island boys were to busy playing baseball.
